Rep Tryouts Saturday & Sunday September 10 & 11. League Fees must be paid.

Atom 9am to 10:15am.
Peewee 10:30 to 11:45am
Bantam 3:15 to 4:30
Midget 4:45pm to 6:00

NOTICE for GRANFONDO SATURDAY Highway 99 travel south of the Village will be slow and also restricted from 9:30am to 4pm – very very slow and restricted 10am – 12:00pm (especially coming out of the eastern subdivisions south of the Village). On Saturday the Peewee people must get to the arena well before 10am or they will not get there in time!!

Peewee 3:15pm-4:45pm,

Bantam 5:00pm-6:15pm.

Same schedule for both days.

To be eligible for Rep hockey attendance at the try outs are mandatory. Consideration will be given to injured players. Please contact coaching coordinator Bob Andrea by email at bobandrea@hotmail.ca if you have any questions. Team selections will be posted by 8:30pm Sunday night.

Picture Day

WMHA is holding Rep Team Tryouts Saturday Sept 12 and Sunday Sept 13. We encourage all players Atom age and above to come out for the experience. Please note you must be registered for the season before you can attend.

Non Parent Coaches

At some point in a player’s hockey career, your son or daughter will attend hockey schools or spring league and have the opportunity to work with coaches who have a resume of Major Midget and a Junior Hockey background. WMHA wants to utilize these young men and women who come to us with a college hockey background and in some cases, education degrees and an ability to reach young people in a way that a parent coach cannot. These coaches are able to look at each player with an objective eye. Through fund raising, WMHA offers these non-parent coaches stipends and pay for coach development courses. We also pay for our parent coaches coaching courses.
From hockey 1 to Peewee the parent coach is an important resource for the young hockey player. We need to continue to have our parents involved at this level. WMHA executive would like to have non-parent coaches as head coaches for all Rep teams and parent coaches in an assistant coach capacity.
