PCAHA Needs Bantam Rep League Manger

League Managers are the people responsible for day-to-day operation of the PCAHA’s Minor Hockey leagues under the direction of the Managing Directors. Their duties are as follows:

Duties:1.) Act as a communications and resource person for the Coaches and Managers of the teams in their league.
2.) Maintain league standings
3.) Maintain team and individual penalty records.
4.) Issue exhibition game numbers.
5.) Issue tournament permission numbers.
6.) Supervise playoffs
7.) Report to the Managing Director on all matters of concern.

In general, this position requires people skills, responsibility, and attention to detail. An extensive background in hockey organization is not a prerequisite and suitable training will be provided.

2009/2010 President’s Message

Welcome to Whistler Minor Hockey and a very dedicated group of hockey players, coaches, managers, parents and volunteers.

The 2008/09 hockey season was very successful. Several of our teams won banners and more importantly Whistler teams earned a reputation for playing competitive and fair hockey.

Last year we were very fortunate to receive grants from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation and the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s Community Enrichment Grant. Funds from these grants were used to purchase new jerseys and develop our new website. Thank you to both of these organizations for their support.

Looking forward to the Olympic year in Whistler, we can expect a lot of excitement as we get closer to the biggest games on earth. I am sure there will be some scheduling and travel challenges during this Olympic year and I am confident that Whistler Minor Hockey will work hard to meet these challenges as we have in the past.

As an organization we are committed to improving our programming and communication with our members. Please visit our website for regular information updates. We strongly encourage input and welcome anyone interested to attend our regular meetings.
